Small Boy Mentality

There's an old saying:

To a small boy with a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

As programmers, we call into the same trap all too often.

We learn about some new technology or solution, and we immediately begin seeing places to apply it.

HISTORICAL NOTE:

Several of the mechanisms described in this set of
documents may seem somewhat strange or even baroque at first reading.
It is important to note that compatibility with existing standards
AND robustness across existing practice were two of the highest
priorities of the working group that developed this set of documents.
In particular, compatibility was always favored over elegance.

Here comes the Sun....

so I bought the book of my idol....george harrison..Harrision...

soon expect this place flooded with Beatle mania.....

About Indian music and philosophy, George said:
"After 'Norwegian Wood', I met Ravi Shankar at a friend's house in London, for dinner. He offered to give me instructions in the basics of the sitar, like how to sit, how to hold it, and the basic exercises. It was the first time I had ever really learned music with a bit of discipline. Then I started to listen to Indian music for the next two years, and hardly touched the guitar, except for recordings. Having all these material things, I wanted something more. And it happened that at just the time I wanted it, it came to me in the form of Ravi Shankar, Indian music, and the whole Indian philosophy."

Norwegian wood...very good song...I heard this and I become diehard fan of beatles..
.

I am Characterless!!!!

Yes :)
This is the opinion of my good friend about me. His proposition is like this.

He believes a particular saying in hindi ..."Admi ka rumal aur uska character reflects each other"(sorry for poor hindi..).....he adds.."Admi ka rumal jitna saaf utna uska character" and this comment came as i don't keep handkerchief. you will say(irritatingly)...what is this person, he just can't keep a small handker chief..so he proves....I don't have a handkerchief so the Character !!!! :((

but I am helpless. After desperate efforts just I can't get one. It seems to me that this is the one of the many plans I have, which don't get materialized. ...chchhchcha!!!.... how much materialistic world has become....I am not!!!!

I just can't remember, when I goes for shopping that I need to buy a handkerchief. Even
if I remembers I do get really bad deals which I don't find reasonable rate...and chose option of not buying....even yesterday I got very good deal but i didn't have a money to buy and they don't have swapmachine...so its come under classicle situation in marathi they..say "daat aahet tar chane nahit aani ..chane aahet tar daat nahit..."

I see my destiny of being characterless ... as I do not see a possibility where I can get a handkerchief.

if you are not bored with above material, you can carry on else you can leave here as some really creativity will start from here..hahahaha

ok actually I am a character less...yes..other proof by analogy (don't ask me what is this ?)
I do spell my name "Sandip" but normally people spell it as a "Sandeep" ...so I have a Character less.. and character missing is 'e'. but don't miss the fact that I substituted other 'e' by 'i' ...yes I did it by applying in Indian Court..and please do
not assume that I substituted it because I studied sociology and know the difference between
'me' and 'I'..... as Later shows egoistic behaviour. but as I am characterless as per first proposition.. as egoist property applies only on character..so it will raise an exception...or crash an execution of program....but program still is running....will keep running and flowing....

thank for patiently reading till this point....

In her shoes

nice poem...
The art of losing isn't hard to master;
so many things seem filled with the intent
to be lost that their loss is no disaster.

Lose something every day. Accept the fluster
of lost door keys, the hour badly spent.
The art of losing isn't hard to master.

Then practice losing farther, losing faster:
places, and names, and where it was you meant
to travel. None of these will bring disaster.

I lost my mother's watch. And look! my last, or
next-to-last, of three loved houses went.
The art of losing isn't hard to master.

I lost two cities, lovely ones. And, vaster,
some realms I owned, two rivers, a continent.
I miss them, but it wasn't a disaster.

---Even losing you (the joking voice, a gesture
I love) I shan't have lied. It's evident
the art of losing's not too hard to master
though it may look like (Write it!) like disaster.

Tipping point

These days I am reading Tipping point from Malcolm Gladwell. Book is very good. I previously read blink from same author. I recommend to read both of books. first one give proper analysis about the marketing fundas of why something becomes suddenly hit.
while in the "blink", author describes how some expert can tell about a authenticity of some thing,in a blink, which normal people can't tell. what it goes into their mind before they make such a decisions..
its true..as when I used to heavily active in sports ..just seeing the some new guys style of running or
holding stick or kicking a football a first moment, I can predict whether this guy will play good or not....in all cases all those initial hunches were right..
I can't clearly remember about the book..blink..as I read it not quite long back..but now a days I am suffering from major memory disorder..which makes me forget things very quickly..even I can't remember things which I said few minutes back or things which I have done with full efforts with my project mate..otherwise I could have started this new book blogging with blick only..

as I will make progress on this book I plan to write some interesting concepts out of that book here....hope those people don't file a case on me..
